![]() ![]() I'm unable to follow any meeting with so many interruptions.ġ) I want to use the home computer and not my phone (my choice because of a bigger screen)Ģ) I don't want to install the zoom app and want to run zoom in a navigator (my choice because of the computer's owner)ģ) there is no microphone on this computer (there is not any. But Zoom continues on trying to access it. I have tried all the settings but I have no other choice than select one only microphone even though no microphone exists on my computer. ![]() Zoom shuts down the audio every 30 seconds to notice me : "your navigator doesn't allow you using your microphone" ! Then I can only "join audio by computer" and wait for the next interruption every 30 seconds. If you are not but are the host of these meetings on Zoom for example, you can adjust your meeting configuration to create a waiting room and simply refuse to admit Otter. If you want to see after class the whole record of when someone joined and left, you can go to, login to your account, go to reports, usage, select your meeting and see all login records. I used to listen to meetings before on this web navigator on this same computer without any microphone. If you forgot to adjust the join permissions before, its easy to stop an Otter from your Otter homepage by clicking on the stop button of the Otter that joined your meeting. There should normally be a pop up that comes on the top of your screen that shows someone joined. Thanks, everyone.I want to attend a zoom meeting in my navigator, even if my computer has no microphone. ![]() If the majority of people do have the camera on. If you get there early, then you cant blend into the crowd of camera off people. If a majority of other people have the camera off, then you dont have to turn your camera on. The one you have identified to start the. In person I like to be 5 minutes early but it’s torture sitting in a zoom that early. The participants must use the passcode to join. Disable waiting room and enable passcode for this particular meeting. While up-to-date software is your first line of defence, another is to keep your meeting URL away from public forums such as Twitter. What you can do is create a host key (six digit number) on your profile and share it with the person who has to start the meeting. And I'm glad I checked this forum before doing so. It is possible to start a meeting by claiming host. On the ID Textbox you can press the dropdown to view the previous meeting and their Topics. If it was a personal computer I’d expect you are fine. I tend to wait until at least 2-3 people are in, give them a second to start chit chatting and then I stealthily join lol. I would say if you didn’t record the call then you are 99.99 okay and anything discussed or shared was private to my knowledge there is no zoom recording without any kind of warning or icon saying recording has started. What's the best way to communicate with them? In the meantime, I will NOT be installing this app on my computer. I don’t know how Zoom works but with Google Meets you can see who’s in the meeting before joining. I sure would like to see this prioritized by Otter. But would have to be done on every platform - or be built into Otter. The meeting host is notified WITH the user's identity and must authorize the recording.ĭ. It does not record/transcribe unless the user turns it on during a meeting.Ĭ. It does not attend a meeting unless the user logs in.ī. Join from Browser: Go to and enter the meeting ID and click Join. Possible solutions, whether implemented by Otter, Zoom (would have to be other platforms, too) or both:Ī. Then it emails the transcription to every person who was invited to the meeting.Does it notify all attendees it is doing so? It sounds like it does not identify which user is doing so - thus the waiting room workaround, is that correct?.I cant click anything because the moment i click it becomes Zoom is 'not responding'. Does it do so even if I do not log in to the Zoom meeting? I never had issues with zoom for like close to 6 months, until today when i joined a meeting it stops responding after a while and my cursor becomes the loading circle.Otter automatically attends any Zoom meeting on my calendar, and records/trancribes audio?.If indeed all of the below is true, it is alarming: I'd like to summarize the problems identified in this thread in one place, and ask users to verify the accuracy. ![]()
